How LTER-Europe is organised

This section explains how LTER-Europe is organised, including details of formal bodies, expert panels, etc.. There is also information on the formal procedures of LTER-Europe, such as its by-laws, criteria for sites and how a network can join LTER-Europe.

Structure LTER-Europe

LTER-Europe is a regional network of ILTER, the international Long-Term Ecological Research Network. European LTER networks are members of ILTER. LTER-Europe helps to coordinate ILTER activities in Europe and represents European-level interests in ILTER. There are 20 European national networks in ILTER, from a total of 41 networks (as at January 2010).
