Document archive - Welcome!

Introduction to the Document Archive

The Document Archive contains LTER-Europe documents. Documents are given unique filenames, beginning with an archive-ID. The Document Archive is subdivided into folders that group sets of documents together. You can locate documents in the archive in one of three ways:

  • List all files in the archive: click on Archive contents
  • Browse for files: use the menu to the left to navigate through the folders and files until you find what you are looking for. Some folders contain 'All contents' links. These provide a convenient way to see contents of that folder and any subfolders
  • Search for files: at any point within the archive you can search the contents using the search tool in the top right corner of the website. Simply tick 'only in current section' (to limit searching to the folder you have navigated to) then enter one or more search keywords.

Note that some files within the archive may have restricted access.

Examples

1. To see all files relating to the LTER-Europe meeting that took place in Slovakia, 2008:

  • Navigate to Events > 2008 > Slovakia
  • Click on the 'All contents' link. A list of all the files in this section is displayed, sorted in reverse order by reference ID code.
  • Alternatively, if you are looking for a presentation, you could click on the 'Presentations' subfolder to see only the presentation files.

2. To search the whole document archive for a file with the code I3058v13, first make sure you are at the top level (the 'breadcrumb' trail near the top of the website should read Home > Members' area > Document Archive). Now click on 'only in current section' below the search entry field in the top right of your screen. Then enter the file ID code into the keyword search field and click the search button.
