The European Ecosystem Services conference 'Helping nature to help us' will take place in Antwerp, Belgium, from 19-23 September 2016. The conference is organised by the research projects OPERAs, OpenNESS, and ECOPLAN and the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP). It is hosted by the University of Antwerp, Belgium.

The organisers anticipate this conference will be the biggest European event in 2016 that links science, policy and practice on ecosystem services and natural capital. With a strong focus on practice and implementation it will showcase excellent knowledge and research, share working examples from business, land management, policy and local practice. Your input into this event is essential to make it a success!

The organisers now welcome proposals for conference sessions

This is your chance to help shape the programme by demonstrating your work, organizing a side-event, or running a scientific session. Submit your session proposal by 1 February 2016. The programme committee will perform a selection to incorporate relevant proposals into the final conference programme. Full guidelines for submitting proposals are on the conference website.

The organisers offer you an attractive and dynamic programme focussed on practice and implementation. This will include a networking day for researchers, policymakers and practitioners, field trips to example projects, as well as a science day to present the latest tools and developments in research.
