This two-day workshop will look at the options available for collecting image-training and ground-truth data during field surveys on Natura 2000 sites. The Doñana Ecological Monitoring Team (EBD-CSIC / ICTS-RBD) and the Remote Sensing & GIS Laboratory from the Doñana Biological Station (LAST-EBD) hosts this workshop, to be held at the CIECEM building in Matalascañas (Almonte, Huelva) from 10 and 11 May 2011, in collaboration with the European Network of Heads of Nature Conservation Agencies (ENCA).
The workshop will include indoor presentations, question and answer opportunities, outdoors practical demonstrations, and a plenary discussion session to elucidate recommendations on the way forward.
Requests to attend this meeting must be sent by 15 April 2011. Contacts: Ricardo Díaz-Delgado & Clive Hurford. http://encanet.eu/home/
