Call for participants: International summer school in Japan

International summer school based at a Japan-LTER site

JaLTER, the Japanese LTER network, is organising an international summer school for Ph.D students. The course, entitled 'Cascading interactions among ecosystems' will be held at Akkeshi marine station, a JaLTER core site in northern Japan, and will take place from 19 June to 1 July 2010. The program will focus not only on marine ecosystems, but also on terrestrial ecosystems, rivers and their interactions. It is an ideal opportunity for students to visit a JaLTER site and communicate with other students.

JaLTER's GCOE funds will cover the international and domestic airfare and accommodation fee during the program for all international participants.

The deadline of the applicants is 15th March, 2010. Please note that if the number of applicants exceeds capacity, the organisers will have to select suitable participants. The link below provides further information of the program and the application form.
