Attendees will be the Advance_eLTER and eLTER H2020 project beneficiary representatives, eLTER ESFRI Stakeholder representatives, project Advisory Board members (IHB/IGB), and additional participants of the science conference on day 1.
Schedule
28 November through 1 December, each day (except Friday) from approximately 9-17 CET:
- Tuesday 28th: The scientific relevance of eLTER RI (conference)
- Wednesday 29th: Stakeholders' day: eLTER H2020 project core results and products; eLTER ESFRI process; feedback from Infrastructure's Globalisation & Harmonisation Boards | Conference dinner
- Thursday 30th: Field trip to Fuente de Piedra Lake to see flamingoes
- Friday 1st: LTER-Europe business meeting (ending at 13 h)

The detailed programme is being prepared by members of the Advance_eLTER Core Team and the event's Scientific Committee*. You will receive further information in due time.

Attendance
All events are open to all participants of the combined event, except for the LTER-Europe business meeting which is restricted to the representatives selected by their national LTER network and possible observers.
Registration
You can register online here.
Please register by 15 October. You will not receive a confirmation via mail after you registered. Should you forget whether you have registered, simply register again, and do the same if you wish to change your registration. We will always only take the latest one.
Venues
Our venue for 28-29 November is the Rectorado de la Universidad de Málaga (headquarters of the University of Malaga). View on map.
The LTER-Europe meeting on Friday 1 December will take place at the Institute of Port Studies.
Accommodation
There are many hotels conveniently located in the vicinity of the venue, and we do not recommend any particular ones. Please make your own hotel booking.
Field trip
Do not miss this whole-day fieldtrip to the Fuente de Piedra Lagoon, a salt lake where you can watch the largest Pink Flamingo colony of the Iberian peninsula.

Conference dinner - 29 November
The dinner will take place at the Santa Catalina restaurant. Details have been sent email to all participants. During the dinner we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of LTER-Europe since it was formally established in 2007.
Costs and financial aspects
Event costs and food
There is no conference fee. All meals and (a limited amount of) beverages during the event happening at the venue will be provided at no costs to all participants.
Field-trip
There will likely be a moderate fee to be paid for the field-trip, also for food during the trip (Curro will clarify this very soon).
For project beneficiary representatives, the field trip fee is eligible for being reimbursed by project resources because it is an educational event.
eLTER ESFRI Stakeholder representatives and Board members are excempt from the field-trip fee.
Travel costs
Advance_eLTER Beneficiary representatives will cover travel expenses from their project budget.
eLTER H2020 beneficiary representatives who are not also Advance_eLTER beneficiary representatives are likewise invited and will cover their travel expenses from their eLTER H2020 budget (if this is an issue for you, tell me).
Board member's travel expenses may be financially supported by project resources, this will be clarified on an individual basis.
eLTER ESFRI Stakeholder representatives will have to cover their own travel expenses; only in exceptional cases, the project may provide travel funding to them, this will also be clarified on an individual basis.
eLTER Europe national network representatives who are not also project beneficiaries will have to cover their travel expenses themselves.
Further attendees of the scientific conference will also have to cover their travel expenses themselves.
