The Natural Capital Initiative’s 10th anniversary summit offers an independent platform for people in science, policy, NGOs, businesses and local communities to discuss and debate innovative natural capital solutions that enhance the environment and strengthen society. It builds on two influential summits in 2014 and 2009, which helped to shape natural capital thinking in the UK.

NCI are delighted to welcome a great line-up of speakers for Valuing our Life Support Systems 2019:

  • Ian Boyd (Defra)
  • Kathy Willis (Univ. of Oxford)
  • Ben Combes (PwC)
  • Melanie Austen (Plymouth Marine Laboratory)
  • Tim Sunderland (Natural England)
  • Becca Lovell (European Centre for Environment and Human Health, Univ. of Exeter)
  • Mark Rounsevell (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology; IPBES; OPERAs)
  • Bridget Emmett (CEH)
  • Mark Gough (Natural Capital Coalition).

The summit also offers interactive workshops, panel discussions and Q&As from the wider natural capital community around the summit themes:

  • New frontiers in natural capital data and methods
  • Governance and institutions for implementing natural capital solutions
  • Urban health and wellbeing
  • Sustainable land and water management
  • Sustainable marine planning

The programme is available here.

This is an opportunity to present your natural capital work in a poster too.

Book your place now to save money and to secure your place in the room. NCI are offering early bird discounts until the end of February 2019.
