Data management and access in the eLTER H2020 project

eLTER organised a training on Information Management. This took place on the 26.2.-1.3.2019, Umweltbundesamt GmbH (Vienna). More information about the workshop you can find on the event page.

The eLTER Information System provides access to a range of data management tools

During the eLTER H2020 project, we will create a Data Integration Portal (eLTER-DIP), opening up access to the long-term data legacy gathered by about 160 'Virtual Access' sites and other contributors.

We will also enable question-driven selections of sites for multiple use (physical use or data) through an improved site identification web service (see DEIMS-SDR). This will require developing consistent and robust site metadata on up to 500 sites in the European Research Area.

The project also aims to enhance the information technology capacities of data providers (sites) by catalysing the establishment of Data Nodes, supported by the eLTER Service Suite for the provisioning of data. This will take into account the practical realities facing data providers (e.g. technical capabilities and data policies), using a range of customised solutions.
